Summary: Reposted by Keith Petersen

Infoplus version 1.46, has been sent to SIMTEL20. It is available as:

PD1:<MSDOS.INFO>IFP1P146.ZIP Main program and documentation
PD1:<MSDOS.INFO>IFP1S146.ZIP TP and MASM source code

Infoplus is a program that has numerous 'pages' that show different
aspects about your computer's hardware and resident software.

Changes by Andrew Rossmann v 1.46 (5/29/91)
Page 2: If an i486 is found without a coprocessor, then an i486SX will
be assumed. An i486SX w/ 487 will show as an i486.
Page 6: Most of the VGA chipsets will return more information.
Page 18:NEW PAGE (sort of).
Moved the TSR and drivers section of page 10 here.
Corrected VDS product version number display. Also tell if
VDS's BIOS data bit is set ($40:$7B, bit 5)
Added detection of TBScanX (a virus scanner)
Added detection of WildUnix (a Unix-like wildcard expander)
Added detection of DOS/16M (a protected mode interface)
Added detection of Inset (a text/graphics program)
Added detection of Microsoft CD-ROM extensions (MSCDEX)
        Added detection of Fossil drivers
Added detection of Video Fossil drivers

WARNING! Page 18 could lock up under Desqview. I'm still investigating.

PC2PS11.ZIP Cvts IBM char set txt files to Postscript prtr

So, you finally upgraded to a brand-new postscript printer, but now
PRINT Filename.Ext or COPY Filename.Ext LPTx: won't work anymore? Here
is the solution: PC2PS, an ASCII to PostScript converter that has all
the linedrawing- and foreign symbols of the IBM Extended charset.

The program (C-Source included) is based on TEXT2PS by Stephen Frede.
I added the PCFont with all those linedrawing and other special
symbols.

PC2PS is FreeWare, standard disclaimer applies. Share and Enjoy!

Summary: Reposted by Keith Petersen

I have uploaded to SIMTEL20:

pd1:<msdos.music>
POLYTC.ZIP Three-voice music w/sample songs & TC/MASM src

The original C/ASM files were written Dan Oliver. I have translated
the programs into Turbo C/MASM, naming them POLY_PLA.TC and
POLY_XLA.TC. For those that don't have a compiler handy, I've also
included precompiled executables: POLY_PLA.EXE and POLY_XLA.EXE.

Note that the program has its own timing loops, so it doesn't adapt to
high-speed CPUs. It plays fine on my 4.77MHz machine, but when I try
it on my 386, the song is over in less than a second.
