[ My most sincere apologies to Ken. It won't happen again. --DL ] I posted this article last summer, once. It has since reappeared in comp.os.research twice, both times without my permission. Although I certainly still believe what I argued at that time, it is not my desire to ram my opinion down anyone's throat, especially three times. I think the moderator of the group should exercise better discretion. My regrets to anyone who is tired of seeing this particular submission. Hopefully, it won't reappear. (I will post something on the new ISIS system sometime soon; we plan to release a public domain version of it this summer, and my submission will describe the system -- a distributed programming toolkit -- and also how to get it.)
