Well, the Mach port was not done over a weekend.  It took roughly 3-4 weeks
spread over a 3-4 month period.  At that point, it ran fairly reliably,
but annoying details like a whole bunch of floating point emulation
in the kernel was unfinished.  Also, only a first cut at the user library
and system servers was made to verify correct kernel functionality... but
they definitely needed more work.

I am not in any position to talk about a port to the Mac II, but don't
forget that any such port would require a Mac II with the PMMU option.
Are most Mac II's configured that way?
