Twelfth ACM Symposium on Operating System Principles
                            The Wigwam
                    Litchfield Park, Arizona 85340
                          October 2, 1989

Notice of Continued Registration Opportunity
---------------------------------------------

The number of registration applications received prior to the
October 2, 1989 deadline was under the limit imposed by the
room block reserved at The Wigwam, so all applications received by
that time have been accepted. Since there is still room, we will
continue to accept registration applications in arrival order until
the room capacity is exhausted or until October 15, the deadline for
changing the size of the room block at The Wigwam. If you know of
people who are interested in attending the symposium but have not
yet registered, please pass along this information.

Given the number of registrations, we were also able to accommodate
all requests for single rooms. Moreover, we can handle a few more
requests for single accommodations, so if you wish to change from a
double room to a single, please let us know as soon as possible (via
electronic mail or phone), and send your check made out to ``Twelfth
ACM SOSP'' in the amount of $219.00 to the conference secretary. We
must have the check by October 15th in order to accomodate such requests.

We have had several inquiries about bringing along a spouse or families.
Such requests can now be accommodated. Two options are available. The
``no-meal'' option includes only the room, and costs only an additional
service charge of $6.00 per additional person over the cost of a single
room. Meals may still be taken at The Wigwam, but they will be from the
regular menu with the cost being the responsibility of the individual.
The ``full-meal'' option includes all meals and social events associated
with the symposium on the same basis as participants. The cost for this
option is $245.00 plus the $6.00 service charge per person. Summarizing,
a person who originally selected double room accomodations and would now
like to bring along a spouse on the ``full-meal'' plan would be required
to pay $219.00 (to upgrade to a single room) plus $6.00 (service charge)
plus $245.00 (meals) for a total of $470.00. A person who originally
selected single room accomodations and would like to bring a spouse on
the ``no-meal'' plan needs to pay an additional $6.00 service charge only.
If you wish to take advantage of either option, please send your request
with a check to the conference secretary, again by October 15th.

Further information concerning the symposium will follow soon by US Mail.
