Two seminars dealing with patents, copyrights, trade marks and industrial design wiil be held in the ISTS Boardroom at 4850 Keele St. Dr Alan Hale of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo will address the topic "DOING IT YOURSELF? PATENTS AND COPYRIGHTS" at the first seminar which will be held on Thursday November 23, 1989 at 1:00 pm. The second seminar scheduled for Friday December 15, 1989 at 1:pm will feature the following: *Patent and Technical Information as an Information Tool Bill MacDougal who is patent advisor for Consumer and Corporate Affairs, *Stephan Perry LLB Patent Lawyer for the firm Slim and McBurney, will present *Relationship: The inventor and the Patent Agent *Richard Adair ITA Field Officer of the National Research Council. will present Commercializing Intellectual Property Admission for ISTS employees is free.
