I'm looking for a virtual memory simulator. At the moment I'd prefer one that's really easy to use and does the usual kind of LRU-type things, and simulates several memory sizes at once. The ability to simulate optimal paging would also be nice. Something fancier (with prefetching, or simulating a realistic algorithm rather than LRU) could be handy too, later on, though right now it would probably be overkill. So any info about available simulators would be of interest. Thanks prematurely, -- Paul Paul R. Wilson Software Systems Laboratory lab ph.: (312) 996-9216 U. of Illin. at C. EECS Dept.
