[comp.os.research] File migration or replication

fdm@ucbvax.Berkeley.EDU (Frank D. Malczewski) (09/27/90)

I am trying to locate some (preferably key) references with respect to
file migration strategies (in a sense similar to that of process migration
strategies). Any ideas?

In a similar vein, how about something along the line of file replication
strategies (where redundant copies of files and/or file (sub)domains are
maintained by the O.S.)?

% Check the bibliography archive on Midgard.ucsc.edu (128.114.134.15).
% Use anonymous FTP and look in pub/bib. --DL

Thanks in advance for any help...

Try "A Distributed Algorithm for Performance Improvement Through File
Replication, File Migration, and Process Migration", by Anna Hac,
IEEE Transactions On Software Engineering, Vol 15.No. 11 Nov, 1989.
