Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing

Special Issue on The Parallel Execution of Rule-Based Programs

Papers are solicited for a special issue of the Journal of Parallel
and Distributed Computing (JPDC) to be published in December 1991.
This special issue will cover, semantic, algorithmic, and
architectural aspects of executing rule-based programs in parallel.
It will include, but is not limited to, the following topics:


- Mapping and execution of rule systems on general purpose parallel
  machines.

- Special purpose parallel architectures.  

- Benchmarking and performance evaluation.

- The formal semantics of parallel rule execution.

- Transaction models for rule systems.

Authors should follow the JPDC manuscript format as described in the
information for Authors at the end of each issue of JPDC.  Five copies
of complete double-spaced manuscripts should be sent to the guest editor
by February 1 1991.  Authors will be notified of the final decision
by May 15 1991.
