I am interested in finding something out about Camelot, which as I understand it, is a transaction layer built on top of a regular Unix file system (or Mach). Does anyone know of a source for an ftp-able paper on the subject? Or failing that, an accessible journal article? Or even a quick description? Thanks, Doug -- -- Doug Merritt doug@eris.berkeley.edu (ucbvax!eris!doug) or uunet.uu.net!crossck!dougm

The book is very recent and even though I have received a copy, have not had a chance to go over it very carefully. However, it looks like it is a very detailed description of the system. ==Tamer -- M. There's been a number of articles published about Camelot, but you're in luck if you want to find everything there is to know about Camelot because a book has recently been published: Camelot and Avalon A Distributed Transaction Facility Edited by Eppinger, Mummert, Spector Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, Inc. 1991 ISBN 1-55860-185-6
