  Guide is a research project jointly conducted by IMAG (research institute
  of the universities of Grenoble and CNRS), and Bull. In 1990, these two
  partners formed a joint research unit called Bull-IMAG/Systemes.

  The objective of the Guide project is to explore distributed computing
  based on a set of heterogeneous individual workstations interconnected
  by a high-speed local area network, using an object-oriented approach.
  Guide is associated with the ESPRIT project Comandos (Construction
  and Management of Distributed Open Systems)

  The technical reports published by Bull-IMAG are available by
  anonymous ftp from imag.fr (129.88.32.1), in the directory
  pub/GUIDE/doc. The list of the reports is in LIST; this is its
