Hi, I am looking for following papers on debuggers for multiprocessing environment$ for a friend of mine who does not have access to USENET: 1. Thomas W. Doeppener, David Johnson "A Multithread debugger" pages 295 - 297 'Proceedings of the ACM SIGPLAN/SIGOPS workshop on parallel and distributed debugging" May 1988. 2. Gil Hansen, Audy Sheppard "debugging multithreaded programs" pages 310 - 312 'Proceedings of the ACM SIGPLAN/SIGOPS workshop on parallel and distributed debugging" May 1988. I have seen the proceedings of the workshop mentioned above. The problem appears to be--- these papers should have been extended abstracts, so these have not been reported in the proceedings of the workshop. The proceedings contain 26 full papers, but none of the 21 extended abstracts, which were also presented at the workshop. Any help towards getting the papers would be appreciated. If anyone out there is interested in it, please send me an email, so that I would forward any information I receive. Thanks in advance, Shashank -- email: shashank@pike.ee.mcgill.ca

Just for info, the Chorus micro-kernel supports lightweight kernel level
threads. Our multi-server version of Unix (called MiX) has been extended
to allow multi-threaded unix processes. We have initial versions of chorus
on multi-processor architecture.
We have adpated the GNU debugger (GDB) to deal with this. There is a
report/doc but no paper.
