            SANTA CRUZ OPERATION TO HOST XENIX DEVELOPERS' FORUM

SANTA CRUZ, CA (August 3, 1987)---The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc.  (SCO) will
host its 1987 SCO XENIX Developers' Forum, a three-day conference for
developers and value-added resellers (VARs), at the University of California
at Santa Cruz (UCSC) campus on August 26-28, 1987.

Planned technical sessions include "SCO XENIX 386 Internals," "Intelligent I/O
Processors," "Developing Applications with SCO's New Computer Graphics
Interface," "Key Development Tools and Strategies," "Using VP/ix to Run DOS
Applications under XENIX," and "How to Package Installable Applications and
Drivers for SCO XENIX."

The Developers' Forum will also feature an exhibition of hardware and software
from OEMs and third-party vendors who serve the multiuser XENIX marketplace.

SCO is also offering a special training seminar, "XENIX Device Drivers
Overview," for early arrivals who want to enjoy a full week in Santa Cruz.
The special, condensed seminar takes place from August 24-25, the Monday and
Tuesday before the Developers' Forum begins.
