Ausgraph 88
International Computer and Graphics Conference
and Exhibition

July 4-8, 1988
The annual Ausgraph Conference, organised by the Australasian Computer
Graphics Association is one of Australia's most successful series of
conferences and is recognised as the premier computer graphics event in
the Pacific Region. Ausgraph 88, the sixth in the series, will bring
together computer graphics enthusiasts from all over the world who will
discuss and present new technology developments, new applications and
industry issues, with a special emphasis on user experience and
developments in the Australasian context.
The Conference Committe invites you to register your interest in
attending or submitting a paper for Ausgraph 88.
THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The program will feature keynote speakers who are internationally
recognised as experts in their fields, as well as a number of
presentations on user experiences and developments. The conference
will have five major streams:
* CAD/CAM
* Animation/Scene simulation
* Image Processing
* Presentation Graphics
* Computer Aided Publishing
Proposals for papers on these and ideas on other topics are most
welcome.
Ausgraph 88 will include a film and video night - a highlight of
previous Ausgraphs - which will bring together some of the best
efforts in scene simulation and animation.
THE TUTORIAL PROGRAM
Ausgraph 88 will also provide an opportunity to study in depth a
number of topics relevant to computer graphics during a series of
tutorials by world renowned experts immediately following the conference.
These will cover material at both beginner and advanced level and allow
an updating of knowledge in a number of technical areas. The committee
invites proposals for topics for tutorials as well as thei presentation.
THE EXHIBITION
Ausgraph 88 will feature an extensive exhibition of computer graphics
software, hardware and peripherals, and provide an opportunity to view
and evaluate some of the newest products from around the world in one
place. Ample time will be provided for delegates to visit the exhibition,
which will be open to the public upon presentation of a business card or
similar information.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Previously unpublished papers in the major streams of:
* CAD/CAM
* Animation/Scene simulation
* Image Processing
* Presentation Graphics
* Computer Aided Publishing
are solicited for formal review for the Conference program. Other
topics will also be considered if the fit into the overal conference
theme.
To be considered for the conference a synopsis of between 300 and 500
words is required detailing the key points to be covered in the paper.
Final paper length will be 2000 to 3000 words and it is expected that
substantial graphical content will be present.

Notification of preliminary acceptance 23 November 1987
Submission of final papers 1 February 1988
