"u3g" is the University Unix System V Users Group - a users group intended for the people at colleges and universities all over the USA who use Unix System V for instruction and research. There are currently some 200+ members and more schools are joining every day. Besides the annual conference, u3g supports the distribution of donated and other public-domain free software to members through the facilities of three regional toolchest software repositories. These 'hub' systems provide a means for registered u3g users to browse through the growing library of software available, and to request transmission of requested packages. The hubs also provide a central point for the distribution of u3g news, information, and bulletins. Also available to registered users at no charge is the System V Known Problems List. ======================================================================== To find out more about u3g or to register your school, call toll-free 800-247-1212 ext 585. ========================================================================
