            The USENIX Association Winter 1988 Technical Conference
                              February 9-12, 1988
                                 Dallas, Texas

The USENIX Association will hold its Winter 1988 technical conference
from February 9 - 12 at the Grand Kempinski Hotel in Dallas, Texas.  
The conference is dedicated to fostering the development and communication
of research and technological information pertaining to UNIX and UNIX-related
systems.  The first two days of the conference offer the tutorial program.
The second two days encompass the technical program.
   
The tutorial program offers 21 selections.  New tutorials feature the 
C++ language, the Mach operating system, and POSIX implementation.  Other
tutorials include 4.3BSD internals, System V internals, network management
computer graphics, window systems, and more.

The technical program includes over 40 papers.  Special half day sessions
have been scheduled to present papers from the Carnegie Mellon University's
Andrew Project and MIT's Project Athena.  Both projects are implementations
of distributed network environments.  In addition, papers will be presented
on network protocols, system administration, kernels, and process
migration methods.
