Call for Papers
Second International Symposium on
Interoperable Information Systems (ISIIS'88)
Tokyo,Japan
November 10-11, 1988
Symposium Summary: The 2nd ISIIS is an international symposium following on
the ISIIS'87. The symposium will forcus on the interoperability technology for
information processing. There will be technical sessions for presentation of
refereed papers, including reports on the national R&D program "Interoperable
Database Systems". Also being planned is the demonstration of OSI-based
information network systems.
Scope: The goal of the symposium is to explore both theoretical and
practical issues on interoperable information systems. Original papers
addressing (but not limited to) the following areas with regards to
"interoperability technology" are solicited:
* Open Information Systems Architecture
* Open Software Architecture
* Formal Description Technique
* Protocol Verification and Conformance Testing
* Open and/or Distributed Database Systems
* Multimedia Information Technology
* Reliability and Security
