	USENIX Association 1988 C++ Conference

The USENIX Association is holding its first full C++ conference
at the Denver Marriott City Center in Denver, Colorado, Monday
through Thursday, October 17 - 20, 1988. This is the first
open registration C++ conference held in the United States.

This conference is expected to be of interest to a broad range
of C++ users and potential users. The first two days of the
conference are dedicated to C++ tutorials for both novice and
experienced programmers. The last two days of the conference
are for presentation of papers on C++ programming. Papers will
be presented on applications, libraries, new or improved
implementations, programming environments, and case studies.

The 1988 C++ conference is a direct result of the 1987 C++
workshop, held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the first open workshop
dedicated to the C++ programming language. Over 200 people
attended the November workshop, the largest and best attended
workshop that the USENIX Association has sponsored. This
interest in C++ prompted the Association to convene a C++
conference in 1988, rather than a smaller workshop.
