CALL FOR PAPERS 1989 ARRAY CONFERENCE Beaverton, Oregon - April 9-11, 1989 Technical Papers ---------------- Technical papers are now being accepted for the FPS Array meeting to be held at the Greenwood Inn in Beaverton, Oregon. Topics should pertain to the effective use of FPS Computing (formerly Floating Point Systems) products and/or novel hardware and software systems incorporating FPS Computing products. Abstracts should be submitted no later than January 12, 1989. Final camera-ready full-length papers are required by February 14, 1989. Technical papers are published in the annual Array Conference Proceedings and are eligible for the Best Paper Award (an expense-paid trip to the European FPS Users' Conference). Technical papers are alloted 25 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. Mini-Papers ----------- To facilitate the presentation of work in progress, papers describing innovations too recent to conform to the schedule for full-length technical papers may be submitted as "Mini-Papers." Contact Sam Cole if you wish to make this type of presentation. Abstracts for Mini-Papers must be submitted 30 days prior to the conference (March 9, 1989). Mini-Papers are allotted 25 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. Mini-Papers are not elligible for the Best Paper Award, and do not appear in the Array Conference Proceedings. Third-Party Vendor Papers ------------------------- Third-party vendors may present papers which do not fit into other categories. These papers should discuss products enhancing FPS Computing products, and should be 25-30 minutes in length. Vendor papers do not appear in the Array Conference Proceedings, and are not elligible for the Best Paper Award. They should emphasize technical and application-oriented material, and may not contain marketing material or pricing information. Abstracts are required by March 9, 1989. Acceptance of Papers -------------------- The acceptance of papers for presentation at the Conference is at the sole discretion of the Array officers.
