[ont.events] November 14th Unix Unanimous Meeting

evan@telly.on.ca (Evan Leibovitch) (11/04/90)

[ I've been known to mess up a date or two in the postings, but this one
is real. I checked the calendar this time. ]

The next meeting of Unix Unanimous will take place Wednesday, November
14th at 6:45pm, in the Psychology Department Seminar Room at the
University of Toronto.

At this meeting Dave Mason will be giving a talk on his own operating
system development project, which has been in the works for some time.
Also feel free to bring your questions, suggestions, problems, baby
photos, whatever, for discussion by the group.

Unix Unanimous is an informal group of enthusiasts who meet on the
fourth Wednesday of each month, to socialize and discuss (sometimes in
great technical detail) Unix-related topics of mutual interest. There
is a loose affliliation with /usr/group/cdn (which pays for the room
rental) but there are no fees or memberships in anything required to attend.

Newcomers are always welcome.

Many thanks are due to Brian Jarvis and Ruth Croxford at U of T for
helping our group find new ground, close to the original home of UU.
If this room is acceptable I'm told this can be made the permanent
home of UU. Note that UU meetings will now be held on the SECOND
Wednesday of the month (each month).

DIRECTIONS:

I haven't been there yet, so I'm just going to reprint Ruth's own
description of where it is:

>The room number is 570, it is in the basement of Sidney Smith Hall,
>100 St. George St (west side, just south of Harbord St). It is sort of
>hard to describe where the room (south, east quarter of the basement).

See you there!
