The Institution of Electrical Engineers, Hong Kong Centre 1989 International Symposium on Computer Architecture and Digital Signal Processing 11-14 October 1989 Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Hong Kong The symposium will bring together researchers, scholars, managers and engineers to share their experiences and new ideas on Computer Architecture and Digital Signal Processing. It will comprise original contributions as well as invited review papers. Topics include but are not limited to the following: Computer system architecture, concurrent systems, distributed systems, advanced microprocessors, RISC, digital signal processors, graphic procssors & systems, cache & memory hierarchies, parallel algorithms, pipelining, vector processors, array processors, systolic arrays, neural networks, interconnections, VLSI computations, delay insensitive systems, architectures for AI, database and special applications. Filter design, Fourier and other transforms, adaptive algorithms, fast DSP algorithms, deconvolution, multirate processing, multi-dimensional techniques, coding techniques, compression techniques, VLSI for DSP, spectral estimation and modeling, speech processing, image processing, pattern recognition, robotic vision, ultrasonics, audio and recording techniques.
