Computer Architecture and Digital Signal Processing

Sponsored by Hong Kong Centre of IEE(UK), this symposium will
bring together researchers, scholars, managers and engineers to
share their experiences and new ideas on computer architecture
and DSP. It will comprise original contributions as well as in-
vited review papers. Topics include but are not limited to the
following:
Computer system architecture, concurrent systems, distribut-
ed systems, advanced microprocessors, RISC, digital signal
processors, graphic processors & systems, cache & memory
hierarchies, parallel algorithms, pipelining, vector proces-
sors, array processors, systolic arrays, neural networks,
interconnections, VLSI computations, delay insensitive sys-
tems, architectures for AI, database and special applica-
tions.
Filter design, Fourier and other transforms, adaptive algo-
rithms, fast DSP algorithms, deconvolution, multirate pro-
cessing, multi-dimensional techniques, coding techniques,
compression techniques, VLSI for DSP, spectral estimation
and modeling, speech processing, image processing, pattern
recognition, robotic vision, acoustics, ultrasonics, audio
and recording techniques.

Papers must be complete and not exceed 2500 words or 12 double
spaced typed pages. Submission of a paper implies a commitment
to present the paper if accepted.
Deadline for submission of papers: 7 April, 1989
Notification of acceptance: 1 July, 1989
