A summer school on Computational Geometry will be held in
Saarbruecken, West Germany,

     from Tuesday, May 30, to Saturday, June 3, 89,

in the week before the ACM Conference on Computational Geometry,
also being held in Saarbruecken from June 5, 89 to June 7,89.

ALCOM

The ALCOM project on algorithms and complexity is funded
within the Basic Research Action of the ESPRIT II program of the
European Community.
It combines research groups in Aarhus, Barcelona, Berlin, Dublin,
Paris, Patras, Rome, Rocquencourt, Saarbruecken, Sofia-Antipolis,
Utrecht, and Warwick.
ALCOM plans to run regular summer schools in the future.

Time and Place
--------------

The summer school takes place at the Computer Science Department,
Universitaet des Saarlandes, Saarbruecken,
from Tuesday 5/30/89 to Saturday 6/3/89.


Travel
------

Saarbruecken is easily reached by car, train and plane.


Accommodation
-------------

Accommodation for all participants will be provided.


Participation Fee and Living Expenses
-------------------------------------

Participation fee is DM 500,-- for students and university employees and
DM 1.000,-- otherwise. It covers lectures, course material, refreshments
and accommodation (Monday through Saturday). Lunches are available at
very low prices in the University cafeteria.
The fee has to be paid after acceptance.

Scholarships
------------

Scholarships are available to participants from EC countries. The
scholarship covers the fees for the Summer School
and the cost of accommodation from Monday, May 29, to Saturday,
June 3. For participants from the ALCOM consortium the scholarship
also covers the fee for the ACM geometry conference and
the cost of accomodation to Wednesday, June 7.
