EC-CSCW '89

THE FIRST EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON  
COMPUTER SUPPORTED COOPERATIVE WORK

September 13-15th, 1989

(The Hilton Hotel, Gatwick, London, UK)	 

EC-CSCW '89 will be a multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of
ideas and information on the use of computers to support cooperative
working. EC-CSCW '89 should be of interest to computer scientists,
psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists, education researchers,
human factors specialists, students of business or management, and all
who are interested as workers, professionals or academics in how
computers can be used to enhance or transform cooperative work.
Participation from anywhere in the world is welcome and contributions
from East and West Europe are particularly encouraged. Complementary to
the CSCW '86 and '88 conferences and inspired by their success, EC-CSCW
'89 welcomes:

	Presentation of original research, project and national reports
	
	Submission of posters, videos, and papers for a paper-fare 
	    (including invitations for collaboration)

EC-CSCW '89 will also offer:

	Workshops on topics such as CSCW and organisational 
	forms, theoretical models of cooperative work, CSCW and 
	education, CSCW and medicine, Artificial Intelligence and 
	CSCW

	Panel discussion on the future of CSCW research in Europe

	Opportunities for informal meetings between participants

Deadlines and Application for Attendance.....

Abstracts for presentations of research, national or project reports
should not exceed 500 words and should be sent to:  Dr. J. M. Bowers,
Programme Chair, EC-CSCW '89, Department of Psychology, University of
Nottingham, University Park, Nottingham, NG7 2RD, UK.  { Email (JANET)
jmb@psyc.nott.ac.uk} to arrive before 15th May 1989. Notification of
acceptance will take place in June. Titles and brief details of video
presentations, posters and papers for the paper-fare should be sent to
the same address to arrive before 24th July 1989. Please indicate which
mode of presentation you intend.
