Here is some additional information, reproduced from the Call for Papers. AIMS AND SCOPE: Modern compiler architectures make special demands on compiler-compilers. Some current problems include full generation capability for all compilation phases, generating production quality compilers, integration of incremental compilation techniques, and construction of tools for programming environments. The workshop will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of problems in this field and address the following topics. * General requirements, properties and theoretical aspects of compiler compilers * Compilation for new computer architectures * Development of (knowledge-based) generation tools * Tools and meta-tools for software engineering The workshop is the third in a series of Compiler Compilers. The first one took place in 1986, Bautzen (GDR), and the second one in 1988, Berlin (GDR). The proceedings of the 1988 workshop were edited by Springer- Verlag in the series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science, volume 371. PROGRAM: The sessions will be held October 22-26, 1990. The working language of the workshop will be English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided. PAPER SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: To offer a contribution, please submit a preliminary version of the complete paper of 6 to 15 pages together with the registration form. The final version should not exceed 15 pages. Typing instructions for camera-ready papers will be sent with the notification of acceptance. The proceedings will be available as preprints during the workshop. It is planned to publish the proceedings in the series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science by Springer-Verlag. TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Overhead and slide projectors are available. Demonstrations should be oriented toward IBM-compatible PC computers. GENERAL INFORMATION: The workshop will be held in the Schwerin Palace. The city of Schwerin is situated near the middle of the Hamburg-Berlin motorway. The easiest way to reach Schwerin is to fly to Berlin or Hamburg and to complete the journey by rail or by car. ACCOMMODATION: The participants will stay in the four-star hotel `Stadt Schwerin' in the centre of Schwerin. The hotel reservations will be booked by the Organizing Committee. The hotel rates are 91 DM per day for a single room and 156 DM per day for a double room, respectively (including breakfast). REGISTRATION FEE: Participants: 300 DM Participants coming from COMECON countries: 300 M/DDR For payments received after the deadline of August 15, the registration fee increases to 330 DM (330 M/DDR). The fee includes participation in all scientific sessions, printed materials and invitations to social events. Workshop attendees are responsible for paying their own accommodation and meal expenses. CULTURAL EVENTS: * Banquet for the participants in an historical windmill * Organ recital in the cathedral of Schwerin * Concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Schwerin * Guided tour through Schwerin ------------------------ You may send e-mail requests for the `Call for Papers' to: nigelh@cgeuge51.bitnet or nigelh@cuisun.unige.ch Remember to include your name and full postal address. -- Good health is merely the slowest rate at which one can die.
