I would like any information or source on a lpd(8) "if" or "of" filter for a Laser Writer that will be printing only Postscript files. All of our Postscript is generated on PC's currently and we have to share the Laser Writer among them. We now have NFS on the main systems and can put PC-NFS on all of the PC's generating postscript. I would now like to put the Laser Writer on the main system spooler (using a tty port) and then have all the PC users use the NET PRINT command to print their Postscript files. The one thing I'm worried about is a lpd(8) filter for Unix and the Laser Writer. Some people said that I need one to catch output back from th printer or bad things could happen. All we need I guess is a straight through filter (as our Postscript is already generated) that will listen for and log errors flushing the output from the Laser Writer. If a special printcap is needed then this would be handy to have also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We're running BSD 4.3 with NFS on a 750 and uVAX.
