Japanese lovers,

Machine readable JIS 24 and 16 dots fonts (JIS-C-6234 and JIS-C-6232)
can be obtained from:
	Japanese Standard Association
	4-1-24 Akasaka Minato-ku Tokyo 106 Japan
	TEL: +81 3 583 8001
in Japan. Each is in 8 inch floppy disk and costs 30,000yen (cost of
media and handling fee).

The Association told me that every JIS Standards can be obtained
through ANSI (1430 Broadway, New York, NY10018). But they said that they
have never handled the order for the fonts from abroad.

These JIS fonts are public-domain and can be copied freely.

I will attend this summer's TUG meeting, and I will bring these
floppies with me. If you are in a hurry you can copy then.
If there are lots of demands for the fonts I may find some machine at
Stanford and leave these files on that machine so that anyone can FTP
them.

There are only Japanese explanation of the record format of these
files, and if many people wants to use them, I will write an
explanation in English when I can find free time.

Some of the GF files for JTeX also contains the same dot pattern
information, so you may use these instead.
