Does anyone out there know if it is possible to upgrade the memory of an HP Laser Jet (not the II) to the equivalent of an HP Laser Jet+. If anyone has done this, knows how to do this, or has even heard of someone that that has done this, please respond with e-mail. Thanks in advance... re: "Does anyone out there know if it is possible to upgrade the memory of an HP Laser Jet (not the II) to the equivalent of an HP Laser Jet+." The now-discontinued HP 26053A kit upgrades a 2686A (std) LaserJet to the full 2686A Option 300 LaserJet+ configuration. You end up with dual interfaces, 512K RAM and PCL Level 4 command set. Some dealers may still have this kit in stock. The 26053A was replaced early this year by the 26054A, which expanded the RAM in the '53 kit to 2 Mbytes. This kit is still available, but its list price (about $2500, as I recall) is the same as buying a whole new 33440A LaserJet-II :-( Regards, Hewlett-Packard Bob Niland 3404 East Harmony Road [ihnp4|hplabs]!hpfcla!rjn hpu...!hpfcse!rjn Fort Collins CO 80525
