Does anybody know where the documentation for DEC Common Font Format can be found. This is the format of LN03 font files and I think font files for VWS (Vax Windowing System) for VaxStation II. We begged a LN03 programmers handbook from our local salesman, but there are no details of the format. The include files with VWS contain a definition of the format, but while the field and constant names are meaningful, they are not enough - that part of the file is the `alternate_table' but whats that ? I have a copy of Flavio Rose' DVI2LN3, which helps a bit, but I'd rather have English with diagrams than commented C code.

Ian, The "Common Font Manual" is actually titled _Font_File_Format_Users_Manual_, part number EK-CFFFM-UG-001. It is available from DEC Direct. I hope this helps. Selden E.
