We've got a problem with our LaserJets (relatively old ones, using the original small Canon print engine, not the new one in the LJ2). Somewhat erratically, we get an area of faint print in the lower right corner. The area is a somewhat crooked diagonal line about two inches long and maybe half an inch wide. It's always in the same place and of roughly the same shape; only the intensity of the problem varies. It does not seem to be a defective toner cartridge. It's not a fusing problem, we've managed to catch a sheet midway through and confirm that the problem is there before fusing. The maintenance manual isn't helpful. Any ideas?
