Our company has 2 TI laser printers, a 2115 and a 2108. I have 2 problems which I need to solve, and wonder if anyone has answers yet. First is the problem I have seen discussed in this news group many times - the problem of TeX printing poor fonts, because they were designed for black on white rather than white on black. Is there any source for TeX fonts that will print properly on these printers, especially if they are available for ftp from somewhere on the net? Second, on the 2115, we purchased the 8.5 X 14 paper tray, so we could print on longer paper. I should mention that the printers are connected to a SUN 3/180S, and we are using the SUN-supplied Transcript software from ADOBE. We know to pull out the top paper receiving tray, and set the printer for top bin paper usage. When we print using lpr, the output comes out on the lower 2/3's of the paper, as if 8.5 X 11 paper were in the tray. When printing using troff, the same thing happens. We even tried modifying the PostScript output by hand, setting the paper length to 14. However, the printing starts down the page, and finishes the 14 inches on the next page. Then it leaves a space, and starts the 2nd page of output halfway down the page, and so on. Is there a magic way to really utilize the long paper?
