[comp.laser-printers] XEROX 4050 problems

  Greetings,

  Colorado State University's Computer Center has been operating a XEROX
4050 laser printer in production mode since January. We have been plagued
with "page delivery errors" - often resulting in data loss. After replacing
several boards on the printer, XEROX elected to replace the entire printer
(except for the disk drives) this week. Page delivery errors still occur,
although much less frequently. We are printing primarily from a Cyber 840
(NOS 2.5.3), going through a Dataproducts interface and a Spur Universal
Subsystem Adapter (USA/DPC(8)). Has anyone else experienced this kind of
problem with a 4050? Was it resolved?
