We have found that, when in a pinch, an OPC belt that the Omnilaser thinks is shot can be kludged into working by replacing the shiny strip with a piece of a floppy write-protect tab. This helped when ours refused to work after having been shipped across the country. Of course, I don't have these problems with my Omni 810, but then again, it's a 5x7 matrix without permanent tabs.
