From the call for papers (the due date for papers has been extended): ACM Conference on Document Processing Systems December 5-9, 1988 Santa Fe, New Mexico Technical and survey papers are invited in all areas relevant to document processing systems. Technical papers should describe recent work relating to significant problems, including either research results or the innovative application of document processing technology or both. Survey papers should provide insigntful approaches to organize and integrate the knowledge in a particular area. Papers will be selected according to their originality, methodology, citations, and presentation quality. Technical and survey papers must be written in English. Papers must not exceed 15 pages inclusive of illustrations and must be double spaced or typeset 1/18 on 8.5x11 inch paper (about 7,000 words). Papers with multiple authors should clearly state the primary contact person and provide appropriate address information. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, and the authors will be required to sign an ACM copyright form. I don't know what the current due dates are for these proposals---the date given in the brochure is May 10, 1988. The conference is sponsored by ACM's SIGGRAPH, SIGCHI, and SIGOIS in cooperation with the Los Alamos National Laboratory and SIGIR. --Rick
