I'm in the market for a laser printer to be used to typeset a journal (and possibly a book or two). The price should be ~$7000. I was hoping that I could find a 600dpi or greater postscript printer for that price, but I am having trouble locating information about products, vendors, recommendations, reviews, etc. The personal computing magazines don't cover this stuff, nor do the Desktop publishing mags. Where can I get information? Anybody know any vendors/products I should look into? Reference sources? Thanks for any help you can offer.... Larry Hunter hunter@yale.edu

When I said that the pc mags don't cover this stuff, I meant that their coverage is limited to 300dpi machines. Where do the bigger guys (like Imagen?) advertise, get reviewed, listed, etc. Where can I find vendor lists for 600dpi+ printers? Sorry I wasn't clear the first time.... Larry Hunter hunter@yale.edu
