Hi We are looking at getting a LaserJet Series II printer, the printer will be used by students in the faculty and we want to know if there is any way of keeping track of the number of sheets that are printed, to help us charge the students, can you get software that counts the number of pages sent to the printer, or do you need some type of hardware box ??? Any hints or tips gratefully accepted ! A quick summary of the help I got on my query about getting a count of the pages printed by a HP series II. The consensus seems to be that the only easy way to get a page count after each job is to print out the test page which contains a page count for the machine. This can be done with a <esc> Z spooled after the print job, or by holding the "print fonts/test" button down for one second. Thanks to the 2 people who replied, hope this helps the people who sent me mail asking for the same information.
