I'm considering purchasing the Brother HL-8e laser printer for my
UNIX system. No, it's not Postscript compatible, but then again I don't
have software to take advantage of Postscript. Brother does offer
an upgrade path for the printer to make it "postscript compatible"
like the Brother HL-8ps.

Has anyone had experiences, good or bad with the printer? The
reasons why I'm considering this instead of the HP LaserJet Series II,
are ...

	 - More standard internal fonts
	 - Accepts HP compatible and HP font cards
	 - 1MB memory standard
	 - Same engine as the HP LJ II (Canon SX)
	 - 5 emulations, including HPLJ, HPGL (plotting), Epson FX,
	    Diablo-630, IBM Proprinter, ...

What does the net think? The printer costs about $200 more than the HPLJ II,
but for $200, I'm getting a lot more ... Would I be missing anything?
Many magazines, like PC Magazine, Byte, Computer Shopper, etc, have
suggested this printer ...
