We have a Laser Writer II NTX, a Digital Vax Station 3200 running Ultrix, and a MacII with an ethernet card. So, we have a mini ethernet zone between the Vax and Macintosh. And so far, everything is great. However, we generate a lot of post script graphics. It would be very desirable to connect the LaserWriter II NTX into the ethernet. Thus, the Vax could dump ps programs directly to the NTX. (now, we ftp to the MacII and print via, local talk from Mac II to NTX.) Big Question, anyone know how to connect the NTX directly to the ethernet? With out using a Kinetics box to bridge the Local Talk to the ethernet.
