[comp.laser-printers] Refilling Laser cartridges

stevedc@syma.sussex.ac.uk (Stephen D Carter) (02/15/90)

I have a number of Laser printers - mostly either Canon engined, or
Epson. From time to time I get flyers from companies wanting to save me
money by exchanging my empty toner cartridges for full ones.

Question. Is the apparent saving real?

ie Is it worth it, or does a 'new' toner last for 5000 copies but a
refill at 75% of the cost lasts for 2500 copies?

Tell me your experiences.
