[comp.laser-printers] Postscript to an HP LaserJet w/ a Postscript cartridge

Has anyone gotten Transcript or dvips to work to an HP LaserJet II
with the HP Postscript cartridge.  All I have been able to get out
of it are handcrafted, 1 page pictures.  Any attempt to print automatically
generated documents gets the error "PS ERROR 18" in the LCD display,
which translates to "Name not known" according to the cartridge
documentation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
