[comp.laser-printers] Laserjet II fonts

Has anyone ever tried converting postscript fonts to laserjet II?
I would also like to hear from people who had experience with
cheap/pd fonts available for the lj+/lj II.

I would appreciate if some kind soul could tell me where to find Times
Roman and Helvetica fonts for the Laserjet II.  In particular, I would
welcome fonts which include all (or most) of the troff special
characters.  We cannot FTP, so I would particularly appreciate fonts
available for anonymous uucp, mail server, or perhaps disk
distribution.
