Sorry to sound lazy, but in the next couple of months I shall be buying a new laser printer (since my roommate is taking my HP IIP with ImageScript postscript emulation). What am I looking for? 1. Good HP emulation. 2. Good (fast?) PostScript emulation (I use this the most, but like having HP to fall back upon). 3. Decent single user paper handling (i.e., I have to be able to feed it envelopes and card stock, transparencies, and cheques... all these work in the HP IIP. 4. Extra PostScript fonts: ImageScript has 47. I liked that, but its Times and NewCent fonts were ugly simulations. 5. High resolution or resolution enhancement (i.e., I'd like a 600dpi or more, but can't pay too much). Spending limit: $3500 or so. Printer is for use on IBM (parallel) with WordPerf, PageMaker, etc. Presently, I am torn between an HP III with 2+ meg, and ImageScript, or QMS-410 or 810 (what's the 810 like, anyway?). Thanks-for your help (EMAIL replies are probably best). ...Terry.
