I am interested in hearing from anyone who presently owns or uses a color Postscript printer. What models are available, Price, cost per page for paper and transparencies, and any problems. Thanks in advance.

Color page printers currently employ thermal wax technology. It is slower and more expensive per page than laser type, but the printers themselves are less expensive. Color thermal wax printers generally run about $7000-$9000 with a print speed of about 1 page per minute. A few companies that make them are: QMS Model 100 (or something close to that model) (205) 633-4300 NEC Colormate PS $8995 1-800-NEC-INFO Epson also makes one, but I don't have model numbers or anything (213) 373-9511 I don't have any info on actual color LASER printers, but I'd like to get some if anyone has anything. I've heard that they run about $20,000 (ouch!)
