I want to make an investment in a high quality printer. I'm looking
for something widely supported by popular software packages,
hi-resolution, inexpensive to maintain. I will not be running a print
shop so it doesn't have to be a sherman-tank work horse. My budget is
about $750 (the cheaper the better). At the moment I'm looking at
HP-Deskjet 500, Okidata OL400, Panasonic KX-P4420. I do have a
specific question about the Okidata. I noticed that it uses LED
technology. I don't know what that means but I've also noticed that
the Toner cartridges for it are considerably less expensive than what
I'm familiar with. Can someone tell me why that is. Also I would
like to know the life cycle of print supplies for each of the above
printers. In other words how many sheets of paper will I be able to
print before I have to replace toner, ink cartridge, etc. Thanx for
any help you can provide.
