In Develcon's seemingly typical inability to set a policy, price, or anything else and stick to it, I was informed late yesterday that the prices I had been quoted for version 4 were incorrect. The change from what I had quoted here was that the $1,000.00 for upgrade did NOT include any new boards, or even proms. Evidently it is now just a software license fee. This amounts to a net increase in the price of about $1,500.00 over the price I earlier reported here, assuming some of the version 3 boards were returned for credit. Sorry about the misinformation. I remain convinced that the Dataswitch is the best port selection device available. Sometimes they make it damn hard to do business with them in a professional manner, though. Steve Taylor
