[net.dcom] Any dataswitch Unix software out there?

derek (08/19/82)

We have a develcon dataswitch. Whenever the power is off for
a little while, it loses all track of the configuration. We
have typed the configuration file into our Unix system, in the
form of console commands. We can then connect a DH port to the
switch console and dump the file down the line thereby reloading
the configuration.

We have just connected the stats port to another DH line and
record all the statistics into a file. We are starting to
write programs to analyze this data. Has anyone out there
got any such programs already written?

Are there any programs to talk to the console?

An aside. The switch thinks that there are 31 days in every
month. While it is not entirly correct, it is right seven out
of twelve months. Several people have complained about this
in this newsgroup but this is normal. Also, it is common for
the time of day clock to not accurately reflect most people's
idea of the correct time.
