I am very interested in anyones information / experience with any RS 232 short haul modems. There are only two vendors that I know of: Develcon in Pennsylvania, and Remark in New York. The Remark is a problem in that it requires the RS 232 line to supply + and - 12v on two the lines . The Develcon unit draws its power from the control signal lines. If anyone has any input on these two companies, or if anyone knows of other companies that make this type of product, please contact me directly, or post your replies to the net.
