DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO SEMINAR ACTIVITIES MASTER'S ESSAY PRESENTATION - Wednesday, August 30, 1989 Mr. Scott Taulbee, Computer Science Graduate Student, will speak on, ``Computer contagions and their impact on the business environment''. TIME: 10:00 AM ROOM: DC3540 ABSTRACT This talk looks at computer contagions, which include logic bombs, time bombs, trojan horses, viruses, and worms. The computer contagion is a pest to the computing environment. How can we as responsible computer scientists curb the spread on computer contagions? What is the impact of computer contagions on the business community? Is it the computer scientist or the businessman who should be most worried about computer contagions? These questions will be answered at the presentation.
