[net.news.group] a newsgroup for RISC fans?

jordan@greipa.UUCP (Jordan K. Hubbard) (03/05/85)

Um, I think this is the right group for this..

How 'bout a group about RISC chips/machines?

I have two pyramids on my hands and would appreciate some forum
on the performance, tricks, and general behavior of RISC designs..

Pyramid seems to be doing well, and there's a lot of RISC stuff in
the works.. Do you think this merits a newsgroup? (yet?)..

Excuse me, what was the question again?

Try "net.arch" first; it's kind of a specialized topic. If it ends up
dominating the group, then maybe a subgroup is called for.

Why not use net.arch (the architecture group)? I have seen some
RISC discussion in there before. Unless they are overflowing with
such discussions, I think that it should go there until the traffic
warrants the creation of the group.
