I ask this question for a friend who don't have net access: My friend 's boss just purchased a second-hand Mac Plus and a hyperdrive hard drive. So after setting up everything, he started to 'drag' a folder of data files from his data floppy to the hard drive icon on the desktop. Everything seems OK at first: i.e. the usual "copying file xxxx" dialog comes up and the file is on the hard drive after the dialog goes away. YET!! when his boss 'double ticks' the folder icon on his ORIGNAL FLOPPY, NOTHING came up in the folder window!! Same thing happen when he 'drag' his copy of 'MacDraft' application from his floppy to his hard drive!! He also told me that the floppy window did show that there is something using up the disk space since the amount of free disk space shown is the same as that before copying! Now I am confuse. Can anyone suggest any reason why the files disappear after copying?? Thanks for any help! akkh@mullian.ee.mu.OZ rcoahk@chudich.co.rmit.OZ
