[aus.mac] Resource Forks and Downloading Via Kermit

mwirth@gara.une.oz.au (Michael A. Wirth) (10/21/90)

I was wondering whether anybody could help me. My problem lies in downloading
macintosh StuffIt documents. When the file.SIT file is downloaded using Kermit
the operation runs smoothly until such time as the last bytes is being
transferred, where upon a resource fork error occurs, whereby the resource fork is x and it should be y units in length.

Now when I come to UnStuff the file it cannot, because the file has the wrong resource length.

Any suggestions how I can resolve this solution.

Also does anyone know of any public domain communication programmes apart from
Kermit.

     Thanks in anticipation....
                             Michael
